BASIC INFO: Art has played an important role in society, as a way to record the daily lives of our ourselves in the current and the lives of our ancestors. In 1000 years, what will future generations think of us when looking at our artworks? Will our artworks help them to understand what our lives were like today? This Advanced Art II project focuses on portraying an ordinary behavior of the student, or of a close friend or parent of the student. You are able to use any drawing or sculptural art media; such as clay, paper clay, pencil, charcoal, colored pencil, chalk pastel, etc., however, you should choose a media that you have experience with. You will be required to complete a series of how-to's and show evidence of these how-to's in your journal before starting your actual artwork. Your work should be of a size of 18"x22" or larger and should exemplify a high quality and complex upper-level high school artwork, see examples of high school drawings and sculptures for project 1. Please review the example projects in your course packet for expectations of quality and content at an advanced art level. Project ideas and work that would be obviously below an introductory art level or highly trite will not be acceptable from an advanced level art student. *See Google Classroom for the project details and skill assignments! |
