Creating in A Choice-Based Art Room
What is a choice based art classroom like? -You are expected to work independently within the class framework, we will explore a variety of content and art skills through workshop days. What am I expected to do? You will choose your own project theme, art medium in later projects, research how to use the media, research your theme topic more in-depth, and follow the directions for basic use of those materials as you apply them to your own work. You will document your ideas, research, and practice in an online portfolio. You all have ideas to communicate, there is no endpoint to creativity and creative growth, find what inspires and effects you and explore those things, not superficially, but in-depth! Where are materials at? Materials are located at art medium centers around the room; drawing center, paper center, clay center, mixed media center, sculpture center, digital media center, and painting center. What about ideas, check out the 'inspiration station' to get ideas or to help develop your ideas more. |
